Recent Adventures

The Assault on the North Pole (Session 26): The Feinting GOATs’ march into the far north tested the hard‑won resilience they’d forged through hellish trials, leading them past ancient runestones to the North Pole’s impenetrable barrier and into the orbit of Gebo, a cheerfully dubious Tomte whose black‑market village armed them with a counterfeit key and a mission to defeat the monstrous Guardians. After witnessing the strange birth of a new Tomte from a cracked rune stone, the party triggered the barrier’s defenses and endured a brutal gauntlet against Grandfather Winter and his titanic allies: the Evergreen Terror, Gingersnap, and General Crack‑Jaw—ultimately claiming the runes needed to solve a circuit of pedestal puzzles and unlock the path to Ded Moroz. Confronted by Father Frost and his army, the GOATs fought through teleporting troops, suppressive magic, and Krampus himself—banishing the demon with relics from their earliest adventures—until Moroz, seeing the battle’s futility, offered them conditional passage into Mysterra. Revealing a colossal magma‑and‑earth elemental named Blorb and the yawning entrance below, he warned they could bring only 42 magic items without drawing Ka’s deadly attention. As the GOATs prepared to descend, Lenti realized their own transformation required a different path, parting ways with the party at the brink of the world beneath.  Full Synopsis Here.

The First Titan (Session 27): The Feinting GOATs, forced to cut their magic down to forty‑two items under Ded Moroz’s truce and to part ways with their Shruman companion Lenti, crossed the North Pole Gate and endured a disorienting seven‑day trek across Mysterra’s frozen, starless north before reaching the village of Skardvang. A tavern mishap led Korloth into a duel with the legendary Böðvarr Bjarki, whose victory earned the party an invitation to his giant‑sized cabin, where he revealed his past with a time‑lost “Bug‑Lizard” named Enik and offered Enik’s clues only if they helped him reclaim his sword from the resurrecting Titan Grindill. Solving Enik’s color‑coded puzzles, they traveled through a Pylon to confront and defeat the Ice Colossus, allowing Böðvarr to retrieve his blade before sending the party onward via another configuration to a scorching scrubland. There they encountered primitive Sleestaks and finally met Enik himself—a brilliant, abrasive time traveler lamenting his people’s decline—who agreed to calculate the Titans’ locations as the GOATs settled into the strange comfort of his futuristic cave.  Full Synopsis Here.

The Land of the Lost (Session 28): The party reunited with a restored Lenti and the Dodds before Böðvarr Bjarki exchanged legendary blades with Korloth and departed, after which Enik revealed a sweeping cosmic history involving Abraxus, the Afanc, the extinction of the Saurials, and the creation of Ryūjin, whose soul remained trapped in an eternal dream. After confessing to slaughtering his own kin to harvest their souls, Enik sent Akemi alone into Ryūjin’s subconscious while the others journeyed to a distant Pylon, surviving a brutal Krugel Orc ambush. Reaching Obojima, the group navigated spirit‑world customs: Dodd earned adulthood through a riddle, Bao Bao gained the Avatar of the Panda, and Cut‑Cut trained with an ancient Mantis Spirit who revealed the Daimyo Ōmukade’s weakness—human saliva. Cut‑Cut defeated the Daimyo with Bao Bao’s covert healing, earning his aid against Ryūjin. In the ensuing two‑plane battle, the GOATs crippled the Titan’s agility until he was fully paralyzed, just as Akemi returned with his awakened soul; they sealed Ryūjin within the Anubis Box alongside the freed Sleestak spirits. As the dust settled, the Daimyo vanished without explanation, and Enik finally tended to the wounded as the adventure drew to a close.  Full Synopsis Here.
