Recent Adventures

Swamp People (Session 20): Following a lead from Marahaba Asante, the Feinting GOATs ventured into the perilous devouring swamp in western Krydodan, seeking the legendary Emeline Morningfall—drunken master monk and ancient warforged trainer—rumored to dwell near the Infinite Swamp. After battling a young black dragon and its vengeful wyrm mother atop a mist-shrouded tower, they solved a deadly puzzle and crossed into the Infinite Swamp, where a green ogre named Shrek led them to Emeline’s moonshine tavern. To earn her guidance to the Crown of the Rat King, Cut-Cut survived her brutal unarmed trial, and the party endured three harrowing tests: meditating in the Bog of Eternal Stench, resisting despair in the Swamp of Sadness, and defending a sacred mangrove from Unusual Rats using music, magic, and diplomacy. With all trials passed, Emeline awarded them the Crown and chose to return with them to the Prime Material Plane, ending her long exile and sealing the party’s triumph.   Full Synopsis Here.

Chariots of Fire (Session 21): During Lenti’s absence, the party fortified their spelljammer, the Goat Float, with Elyn’s permanency spell, creating an eternal skeleton crew and guardian. Their preparations were interrupted by Marahaba Asante’s urgent arrival, revealing the Phoenix Queen’s mobile fortress on the Elemental Plane of Fire. Racing against time, the party bypassed the Well of Worlds via Aarokocra aid and entered a volatile realm of lava and ash. After defeating Efreeti enforcers, they solved a series of intricate puzzles—melting gold to unlock doors, forging metals into key shapes, extinguishing magical flames to cross deadly floors, and decoding Morse smoke signals in a fiery tavern. Each chamber tested their logic, coordination, and resilience, culminating in a final elemental puzzle involving dragon statues and colored flames. In the throne room, the Phoenix Queen, driven mad by the Sigil of Tyranny and grief over her friend Spike, was undone by the sight of Korloth’s axe, Tridax. Her fiery demise left behind the Eternal Flame, which offered transformation. Adrian accepted, becoming a Paladin of the Holy Gun, and with the Sigil of Humility secured, the phoenixes guided the party home.   Full Synopsis Here.

Castlevania Part I (Session 22): The session began with the party regrouping at Lenti’s Mushroom Castle, where she returned from a cleansing journey with two newly improved Dodds. Summoned by Tom Paronskaft, Elyn introduced her companions to her adoptive father and to Morwen, a Gnoll Inquisitor seeking aid in the Demiplane of Dread. Tom revealed his rebellion against the Dark Hierophant by forging a Sigil of Deception for Elyn, which Lenti helped stabilize through a month-long attunement to the Crown of Chastity, resulting in a merged Sigil of Balance. The party then entered the cursed mists and arrived in a temporally unstable, “brighter” version of Daggerford, where they were perceived as distorted identities and uncovered signs of psionic control and dangerous gas buildup beneath the town. After a brutal encounter with animated horrors in a ruined orphanage during a reality shift, they investigated the mines and confirmed a catastrophic crack in a Well Gem. As the gas reached explosive levels, the town erupted in fire just before midnight and reset. The next day, Elyn found an untouchable Emerald Gem in Vayne’s study, and the party persuaded him to let them guard the intact Well Gem, though no guards arrived. Morwen vanished on her own mission, and after another shift, the Gem was gone and the castle destroyed. In the ruined chapel, Elyn triggered a battle with the Psionic Lich-Vayne, a Glass Golem, and Gargoyles, resulting in her and Lenti being petrified before the party triumphed and recovered a huge cut emerald, revealed to be Lich-Vayne’s Phylactery. Returning to the brighter version, they investigated the Vayne Family Crypt and, with help from the Vistani sisters Zira and Varka, deciphered a gem-cutting sequence that might unlock the crypt and lead them toward their next pursuit: the Grim Rapier.   Full Synopsis Here.
